We are looking to source a Maintenance Assistant on a full time, permanent basis.
Based at our facility in Great Yarmouth, the Maintenance Assistant will have a dual role of assisting with facilities management and performing maintenance tasks.
This will entail handling a diverse range of tasks with a requirement to adapt to changing needs as and when required.
Duties & Main Responsibilities
- Commitment to health and safety first when performing tasks, ensuring safety is a top priority for all
- Carry out statutory and regulatory compliance checks. For example, Water Temperatures, Emergency Lighting, assisting with weekly Fire Alarm testing and more
- Respond to immediate site needs and urgent repair requirements
- Undertake general maintenance and repairs across the site
- Accurate record keeping of maintenance inspections
- Regularly inspecting the facility to identify/address any maintenance needs
- Carrying out gardening tasks and keeping the yard clear of debris
- Ensuring that facilities stores are kept tidy and at an adequate stock level
- Use of initiative to improve the efficiency and appearance of the facilities
- Any other tasks requested by Facilities team
- Required
- Proven experience in maintenance roles (minimum 2 years).
- Multi-trade experience would be beneficial for the role, alternatively good DIY experience.
- Good communication, problem solving and time-management skills.
- Self-motivated with ability to work independently with a can-do attitude, whilst paying attention to detail.
- IT literate with ability to use multiple devices i. e. laptop, tablet, mobile phone
- Ability to drive is essential as may be required to travel between sites using company vehicle
