Duties & Main Responsibilities

  • Ensuring quality, occupational health and safety, and environmental protection (HSE) during all operations while professionally representing the company.
  • Performing commissioning, maintenance, and repair work on MENCK and customer equipment, independently or as part of a team.
  • Conducting fault diagnosis and troubleshooting, as well as functional testing of technical systems and equipment.
  • Operating offshore equipment (e.g., piling hammers) in compliance with technical specifications and safety requirements.
  • Coordinating and supervising local technicians and service assistants, including onboarding and training of new employees.
  • Delivering customer training sessions (equipment training) on-site, independently or as part of a team.
  • Organizing and managing site operations, including coordination with project stakeholders and contractors.
  • Preparing and maintaining technical reports and documentation, including service reports, incident reports, checklists, and performance data records.
  • Maintaining continuous communication and reporting to project management and service management, including escalation of faults, deviations, and operational issues.
  • Completing post-deployment activities, including data and photographic documentation, debriefings, and providing workshop support (assembly, documentation, and general technical assistance).

Requirements

  • Successfully completed vocational training as a technician, master craftsman, mechanic, electrician/electronics technician, or a comparable qualification.
  • Certified and authorized to work with electrical systems, pressure vessels, hydraulic systems, and isolated/de-energized equipment.
  • Proven hands-on experience in hydraulics, mechanics, and electrical engineering.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, P&ID diagrams, electrical schematics, hydraulic diagrams, and flow charts.
  • Ability to read and understand technical manuals, with particular attention to safety instructions and warning symbols (pictograms).
  • Proficient in the use of standard workshop and service tools, including torque wrenches, pumps, compressors, and hand tools.
  • Sound knowledge of common HSE tools and procedures, such as JSA (Job Safety Analysis), Toolbox Talks (TBT), work instructions, safety data sheets (SDS), and related documentation.
  • International work experience and willingness to undertake extensive international travel and offshore assignments.
  • Additional training in occupational health and safety or significant practical experience in this field is advantageous.
  • Good written and spoken English skills.
  • Solid proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong commitment to quality, safety, and compliance standards.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • High level of motivation, flexibility, and ability to work independently.
