Internal Sales Support (Full or Part-Time / Flexible Hours)

Start Date: This role is expected to commence in early January 2026, with flexibility for the right candidate.

We are seeking a motivated and organised individual to join our growing team within the Switchgear Services business. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about sales, customer service, and supporting essential services in the industrial sector.

Key Responsibilities – Internal Sales and Customer Support in Switchgear Services

  • Respond efficiently to inbound sales enquiries relating to switchgear, power distribution equipment, and associated products for industrial and commercial customers.
  • Work closely with the Switchgear Services delivery team to ensure seamless communication between sales, engineering, and project management.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, understanding their needs and delivering excellent service throughout the sales process.
  • Track, progress, and follow up on all quotations and sales leads, ensuring a proactive approach to winning business.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales records in CRM/ATS systems for sales reporting and project tracking.
  • Contribute to business development activities, marketing campaigns, and customer engagement events for the Switchgear Services division.
  • Attend the Honiton factory approximately once per week (more frequently during initial training).

Skills, Experience, and Qualifications for Internal Sales

  • Experience in an internal sales or technical sales support role (advantageous but not essential within a switchgear, electrical engineering, or industrial M&E environment).
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple enquiries and tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), with a client-focused and collaborative approach.
  • Confidence using CRM, sales management, and standard office IT systems (Word, Excel, Email).
  • Basic understanding of switchgear, electrical distribution, or M&E project delivery would be advantageous (full training will be provided).
  • Driven, positive attitude and a commitment to delivering service excellence in line with company values.
  • Ability to work inclusively within a diverse and supportive team environment.
  • Relevant qualification in business, electrical engineering, or sales (desirable, not essential).

Working Arrangements & Collaboration

This role is primarily home-based (after probation period), with occasional travel to our Honiton office, where you’ll collaborate closely with both technical and operational teams. You’ll play a vital part in supporting the smooth delivery of projects and driving the growth of our Switchgear Services business, while promoting and maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction. We offer flexible working hours (between 20–40 hours per week) and are open to considering term-time only contracts for the right candidate.
