Actemium ICP, part of VINCI Energies, is seeking a passionate Senior Design Engineer to join our growing Independent Connection Provider business unit. If you have a passion for innovative engineering, enjoy technical challenges, and want to make a meaningful impact, we would love to hear from you.

Job Responsibilities
- Contribute to the HV Engineering design team by delivering accurate and timely designs that are commercially and technically sound.
- Design segments include:
- Electrical Substations and connections at 11kV and 33kV
- Contestable designs
- Earthing System Design
- Protection Systems
- Communication Systems
- Producing project-specific electrical designs for DNO/IDNO/private networks
- Preparing bills of quantities, cable calculations, technical reports, schematics, and detailed specifications for HV equipment and ancillary plant
- Reviewing client specifications and designing HV substations layouts and elevations
- Assessing HV networks, managing POC and G99 applications, and designing HV protection/control systems
- Developing single-line diagrams and managing detailed cable system designs
- Liaising with external design houses, developing HV system studies, and attending client meetings
- Reviewing equipment proposals, approving designs for construction, and contributing to project planning and risk management
- Ensuring compliance with legal and safety standards, and maintaining professional knowledge
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Member of The IET (IEng)
- 5+ years HV Substation design experience to NERS standards
- Chartered Engineer or working towards it
- Experience with protection and grading studies, British Standards, G81 standards
- Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, Amtech, and ideally Revit, CDEGS

Additional Responsibilities
- Overall engineering design responsibility, client interaction, project coordination, and leadership from start to finish
