As part of VINCI Energies with a turnover of €14 billion, Actemium Design UK is an agile business, growing in a dynamic and sustainable manner.
We are currently recruiting an experienced Assigned Checker who will ensure that all mechanical project documentation and associated data is checked and formally approved before issue to a client.
Scope of Role
- Experience of design governance with a particular focus on performing verification of own and the engineering team\’s work as an assigned checker through the drawing check and approval process.
- Authenticate that the work is fit for the stated purpose, meets customer requirements and appropriate standards and procedures have been adhered to.
- Ability to identify errors and omissions that conflict with required specifications and policies that could include reference drawings, design calculations, design risk assessments etc.
The Person
- Degree with honours or Level 6 equivalent.
- Chartered Engineer or equivalent.
- Several years’ experience working in mechanical design engineering.
- Several years’ experience working within a highly regulated industry (preferably nuclear).
- Microsoft Office suite.
