We provide turnkey automation solutions, including control panel design and construction, PLC & SCADA solutions, and Manufacturing Operations Management (MoM), information & analytics, and Functional Safety consulting services.
Role and Responsibilities
- Interpret GA diagrams for measuring, marking out, drilling, tapping, and layout of control panel chassis plates.
- Use hand and power tools for accurate marking, cutting of enclosures and equipment.
- Assemble panels and assemblies from GA’s or Instructions with minimal supervision and in a timely, efficient manner.
- Interpret and understand schematic diagrams and wire control panels and equipment with minimal supervision.
- Fully test and commission control panels with minimal supervision.
- Fault find control panels and equipment with minimal supervision.
- Work on customer premises as required, following all H&S requirements.
- Maintain strong teamwork and comply with safety equipment and PPE provided.
- Exercise reasonable care for personal safety and the safety of others; comply with safe working practices and procedures at all times.
- Co-operate with management and safety representatives to achieve a high standard of safety and housekeeping and contribute to a positive QESH culture.
- Maintain good timekeeping.
Environment
Manufacturing environment with frequent lifting. Use of safety equipment including eye protection, hearing protection, work boots, and hard hats. Loose clothing and jewelry are not permitted.
Qualifications
- Apprentice-trained desirable and/or 5+ years of hands-on experience.
- Safety awareness to work to method statements and risk assessments.
Technical Skills and Experience
- Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills.
- Manual dexterity for wiring, drilling, fixing down.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with willingness to learn new skills.
- Professional appearance and approach with colleagues and customers.
- Approachable and personable in relationships with colleagues and customers.
- Compliance with rules while traveling on company business.
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and a good team player.
- Current driving licence (required to drive company vans at times of site work).
