We are seeking a SSSTS-qualified Site Supervisor to oversee roofing works on live construction sites. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing operatives, ensuring works are completed safely, on programme, and to a high standard of quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise all roofing activities (flat, pitched, or specialist systems depending on project)
- Manage site operatives, subcontractors, and deliveries
- Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety regulations, RAMS, and company procedures
- Conduct daily briefings and toolbox talks
- Monitor quality of installation and ensure works meet specifications and drawings
- Coordinate programme of works to meet deadlines
- Liaise with Site Managers, clients, and other trades on-site
- Ensure correct use of PPE and safe working practices (working at height critical)
- Maintain accurate site records, including progress reports and H&S documentation
- Identify and resolve on-site issues efficiently
Essential Requirements
- SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme) – valid
- Proven experience supervising roofing projects
- Strong knowledge of:
- Working at height regulations
- Roofing systems (e.g. felt, single ply, tiles, slates, liquid coatings)
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
- Good leadership and communication skills
- CSCS Card (Supervisor level)
- First Aid at Work (preferred)
