Actaris Site Services is recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Buyer to join their growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a well-established business where you'll play a key role in supporting project delivery and procurement.
Our client is eager to appoint someone as soon as possible, but is also open to waiting for the right candidate. A temporary-to-permanent arrangement will also be considered.
Competitive salary of £35,000-£55,000, depending on experience.
- Monday to Thursday: 8:00am - 5:30pm
- 20 days annual leave (Fridays count as half days), plus Christmas shutdown and Bank Holidays.

As Buyer, you will be responsible for ensuring materials are procured efficiently, cost-effectively and in line with project requirements.
Placing purchase orders in line with project programmes and procurement strategies.
- Managing procurement budgets against tender allowances.
- Maintaining procurement documentation, including material schedules, delivery schedules and live hire reports.
- Supporting the pre-construction team with supplier pricing and tender enquiries.
- Monitoring stock levels and maximising the use of existing materials across projects.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers to achieve the best value and service.
At least 5 years' experience in a purchasing or procurement role within the construction industry.
- Experience procuring construction materials, ideally with knowledge of roofing, cladding, windows and doors.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
- Strong commercial awareness and excellent organisational skills.
- Full UK driving licence, with the flexibility to attend site visits when required.
