We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operator to join our team in Reading. This role is key to ensuring the efficient handling, storage, and dispatch of goods, supporting daily warehouse operations and maintaining high standards of accuracy, safety, and productivity.
Job Type: Full‑time / Permanent (shift patterns available)
Key Responsibilities
- Picking, packing, and preparing orders accurately and efficiently
- Loading and unloading deliveries, checking goods against delivery notes
- Moving stock within the warehouse using manual handling equipment
- Operating warehouse equipment (e.g. pallet trucks; FLT if trained/licensed)
- Ensuring stock is stored correctly and safely
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment
- Following all health & safety procedures and company policies
- Supporting stock counts and inventory checks as required
- Working collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet daily targets
Skills & Experience
- Previous warehouse or logistics experience preferred but not essential
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills
- Good timekeeping and reliability
- Willingness to work shifts, overtime, or weekends if required
Desirable (but not essential)
- Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Experience in picking/packing or goods‑in/goods‑out environments
