A multi-billion-dollar blue-chip technology company has an exciting opportunity within their engineering division. They are looking for an experienced UK Field Engineering Contractor to act as the primary on-site point of contact during the deployment of engineering solutions across the UK/IE logistics network. This role involves supporting greenfield launches and retrofits in delivery stations, managing project planning, execution, and closure activities, and ensuring seamless coordination between vendors, operations, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities- Project Planning: Verify drawings on-site and identify interferences with existing/new equipment. Raise and manage MCMs for different project phases and resolve concerns before work begins.
- Project Execution: Lead daily calls with vendors, Ops, WHS, and RME; provide daily progress reports. Conduct site visits to monitor progress, gather feedback, and address issues proactively. Manage ordered materials (signage, racking, SBL) and coordinate installation. Work with IT teams to monitor IDF cabinets during cable terminations and validate installations. Support the Project Manager during site acceptance tests (4–5 days continuous on-site presence).
- Project Closure: Collect and validate vendor documentation and ensure proper storage in designated systems.
- Degree or equivalent experience in Industrial, Mechanical, or Process Engineering.
- Proven experience managing medium-complexity projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to travel extensively (75–100%) across UK/IE during project deployments.
