Position Summary
The Assistant Project Manager supports Project Managers, Senior Project Managers, and Project Directors with the planning, coordination, execution, and delivery of projects.
The role acts as a key customer interface throughout the project lifecycle, with a strong focus on both internal and external project coordination and management.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of project scopes, schedules, budgets, pricing, and customer contract terms for multiple projects.
- Support project execution within defined scope, schedule, and budget parameters.
- Assist in preparing contract proposals, contract amendments, and managing customer billings.
- Help secure and coordinate project resources, including subcontractors and direct labor.
- Monitor project expenditures to ensure alignment with estimated costs.
- Maintain and update project documentation, including schedules, scope of supply, ECI, and buyout reports.
- Support subcontractor bidding, coordination, and performance against specifications and schedules.
- Assist with project estimating and applications development.
- Track project deadlines and provide regular project updates and control documentation.
- Coordinate inputs from Engineering, Consultants, Fabrication, Shipping, and Construction teams.
- Provide on-site installation support, start-up assistance, and site inspections as required.
- Ensure projects adhere to quality, ethical, and safety standards.
- Maintain customer relationships and build strong working relationships across all locations.
- Travel domestically and internationally (25%), including occasional extended trips, and between headquarters and manufacturing facilities as required.
- Conduct all activities in accordance with established health, safety, and company requirements.
