An innovative neuroscience organisation is preparing for the launch of a new epilepsy product and is looking to appoint a Key Account / Market Access Specialist to lead access strategy across South West England and Wales. This is a highly visible, field‑based role where you’ll shape and execute local market access plans, working at pace with NHS stakeholders to ensure optimal patient access in a complex and evolving health economy.
The role:
- Define and deliver regional market access strategy for a new epilepsy product and wider neuroscience portfolio.
- Secure freedom to prescribe through funding, formulary inclusion, and guideline adoption.
- Build strategic relationships with NHS budget holders, payers, and key decision‑makers across ICBs, NHS Trusts, and Welsh Health Boards.
- Engage clinical and non‑clinical stakeholders to communicate product value and address unmet patient needs.
- Lead local pull‑through of national approvals and support launch readiness.
- Contribute to value dossiers, economic models, and real‑world evidence initiatives.
- Work cross‑functionally with commercial, medical, and regulatory colleagues.
- Monitor policy and funding developments across England and Wales to identify access risks and opportunities.
- Operate fully in line with the ABPI Code of Practice.
About you:
- 3+ years’ experience in Sales, Market Access, or NHS‑facing roles within pharmaceuticals or medical devices.
- Strong understanding of NHS England and NHS Wales structures, funding pathways, and decision‑making processes.
- Proven ability to influence payers and secure regional or local access.
- Confident communicator with strong analytical and stakeholder management skills.
- ABPI qualification preferred but not essential.
- Degree in life sciences or a related discipline; health economics or clinical background advantageous.
