A global, blue-chip organisation has an exciting opportunity for a Device Project Engineer to join its R&D Engineering team in Cambridge. This role focuses on the industrialisation of medical devices and combination products, supporting design transfer, process development, and scale-up from R&D into manufacturing. You’ll work closely with cross-functional, matrix-based teams and external suppliers to deliver complex MedTech programmes. This is a hybrid position, requiring at least 50% on-site presence after induction. Some travel may be required.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver industrialisation and technology transfer activities
- Support device scale-up (DFM, DFA, precision moulding and assembly)
- Contribute to manufacturing-related DHF documentation
- Apply risk management, validation, and quality standards
- Manage interactions with CMOs and equipment suppliers
Key Requirements
- Degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related discipline
- 5+ years’ experience in medical device or combination product development
- Strong background in tech transfer, scale-up, and matrix teams
- Knowledge of ICH Q8–Q10, ISO 13485, ISO 14971, cGMP, CFR 210/211
- Fluent English
