At ACT, our Behaviour Framework shapes everything we do. We are looking for a Digital Assessor who demonstrates genuine respect for every learner, communicates with openness and integrity, and brings innovation and creativity to their approach to learning and assessment. You will be motivated to inspire and empower learners to take ownership of their development and achieve their goals, while maintaining clarity in your planning, decision-making and communication. If you are proactive, adaptable and committed to delivering high-quality learning experiences, we would love to hear from you.
This is a dynamic, fast-paced role where no two days are the same.
As a Digital Assessor, you will manage your own caseload of learners across South Wales, working directly with them in the workplace and online to help them build skills, grow in confidence and achieve their qualifications. You will play a key role in shaping their journey, from their first contact through to successful completion and progression.
You will be at the centre of the learner experience, planning engaging sessions, setting clear goals, tracking progress and stepping in quickly to keep learners on track. Alongside this, you will build strong relationships with employers, ensuring learning is relevant, meaningful and aligned to real workplace needs.
This role requires someone who thrives in a busy, fast-moving environment, is confident managing multiple priorities and takes pride in delivering a high-quality, well-organised service. You will be comfortable working to clear timelines, managing a full caseload and maintaining high standards of delivery in a fast-moving environment, while still delivering a supportive and personalised experience for every learner.
If you enjoy working with people, staying organised and making a real difference to someone’s career, this is a role where you will see the impact of your work every day.
Alongside core digital skills delivery, you will support learners on higher-level digital programmes, including Digital Content Designer and User Centred Design qualifications. You will help learners apply digital content creation, user-centred design, digital learning technologies, AI implementation, project management, data analysis and emerging technologies to real workplace projects, drawing on your own experience to bring learning to life.
What you’ll do:
- Manage a caseload of learners, ensuring all key milestones are met, including:
- Initial contact with learner and employer within required timescales
- Completion of induction and Individual Learning Plans within 28 days
- Regular progress reviews (monthly)
- Plan and deliver engaging, learner-centred training and assessment using a range of digital methods
- Mark and provide feedback on learner work within agreed turnaround times (within 2 weeks)
- Monitor progress closely, setting clear, realistic targets and taking action where learners fall behind
- Build strong working relationships with employers, ensuring they are actively involved in reviews and learner progress
- Deliver a consistent, high-quality learning experience aligned to awarding body, Welsh Government and ACT requirements
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records (e.g. OneFile, Vision) to reflect learner progress and compliance
- Identify additional learning needs and put appropriate support in place
- Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement of delivery
Please see job description for full details of responsibilities.
ACT is committed to promoting the Welsh language for both staff and learners, and whilst it is not considered essential criteria, the ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role.
