The Health & Social Care Assessor will facilitate high-quality training, assessment and workshops to support learners to achieve their Health & Social Care Apprenticeship qualifications, including wider framework requirements such as Essential Skills Wales.
The role requires a learner-centred approach, working closely with learners and employers to provide meaningful workplace learning and support learners to develop the knowledge, skills and confidence required for their role. The post holder will deliver tailored learning up to Level 5 through workplace visits and virtual sessions, develop and review Individual Learning Plans (ILPs), monitor progress and provide appropriate support throughout the learner journey.

This is a field‑based role covering Powys, requiring regular travel to learners and employers. The post holder will be expected to organise their workload effectively, manage a personal caseload and diary, meet required timescales and maintain high standards of delivery, quality and compliance.
What you will do:
You’ll work directly with learners in their workplaces, online and in training sessions, supporting them through their apprenticeship journey from start to achievement.
You will:
Deliver engaging training, coaching and assessment up to Level 5
Support learners to build confidence, skills and professional behaviours
Plan and review Individual Learning Plans to track progress and success
Provide clear, constructive feedback to keep learners motivated
Build strong relationships with both learners and employers
Manage your own caseload, diary and learner documentation
Ensure all assessment and learning activity is accurately recorded and compliant
Use digital tools and systems to enhance learning and track progress
Work closely with colleagues to maintain quality and consistency
This is a field-based role across the Powys area, meaning you’ll regularly visit learners in their workplace and bring learning to life in real-world settings.

Minimum of 2 years occupational experience of working in a senior role with Health & Social Care Setting
Qualifications & Knowledge
Minimum Level 3 occupational based qualification or equivalent (Health & Social Care)
Good level of IT, literacy and numeracy
