What you’ll do

You will support learners through every stage of their apprenticeship journey, delivering training, assessment, and Essential Skills while ensuring high standards and compliance with awarding bodies, Welsh Government requirements, Estyn’s Common Inspection Framework, and ACT policies. This is a field‑based role, involving workplace visits and virtual delivery, supported by strong systems, quality processes, and a collaborative team. No assessor qualification yet? That’s okay — if you have the right sector experience and motivation, we’ll support you to gain it.

Contract and Language

This is a temporary 12 month contract (starting April 2026). ACT is committed to promoting the Welsh language for both staff and learners, and whilst it is not considered essential criteria, the ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role.

Person Specification

Experience

At least 5 years’ occupational experience in Childcare and Play work.

Qualifications & Knowledge

A minimum Level 3 occupational qualification (or equivalent) in childcare/playwork. Assessor qualification or willingness to work towards one.

Skills & Attributes

Strong organisation, communication and IT skills.

Personal Qualities

A learner‑centred approach with the ability to motivate and empower others. Demonstrate ACT’s behaviour framework in their day‑to‑day practice.

Other

A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
