About Us

We are Act III, a game development studio based in Brighton & Hove, working on an exciting unannounced AAA project. We believe in the power of diverse talents coming together to build experiences for everyone. We are a team of talented individuals from various backgrounds and disciplines, looking for an experienced Studio Manager to support the team and the studio\’s continued growth.

The Role

This is a hands-on role at the heart of the studio. We’re looking for a proactive, person-oriented individual who makes every aspect of our studio run smoothly. You\’ll be the welcoming face of the company, ensuring our spaces are comfortable, well-maintained, and set up for productive and creative work. You’ll be a confident, natural problem solver. You’ll support the team by making sure everyone has what they need to thrive and nurture our collaborative culture, and contribute to the positive energy of our studio.

Key Responsibilities

Studio

  • Managing every aspect of running the studio;
  • Being the first point of call to greet visitors and couriers
  • Dealing with deliveries and distribution
  • Checking stock levels, ordering studio supplies, and replenishing
  • Ensuring the upkeep of the studio spaces
  • Liaising with the landlord and managing third-party contractors about building maintenance issues and facilities
  • Managing the security of the studio, including the entry system and CCTV
  • Maintaining and communicating the health & safety, fire evacuation, and emergency policies and procedures
  • Managing the fit-out of the new studios, including liaising with contractors and ensuring disruption to the team is kept to a minimum

Team Assistance

  • Arranging quarterly team gatherings, including researching and making bookings
  • Booking transport and accommodation for team travel
  • Assisting with diary management, including booking departmental meetings
  • Reconciling credit card usage and processing expenses
  • Supporting the Head of People and the IT Manager with new starter onboarding, including arrangements for studio access, workspace setup, and induction
  • Creating and ordering studio merchandise for conferences and events, and purchasing tickets
  • Updating the website and posting to social media accounts

You Will Have

  • 2 – 3 years of experience as a Studio / Office Manager or equivalent role
  • A positive attitude and a creative problem solver
  • A keen eye for detail and highly organised
  • Fantastic time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritise
  • The flexibility to quickly adapt to changing priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a creative, fast-paced environment
  • A commitment to supporting our core values and culture
