Green Project Tech is building the intelligence layer behind sustainable supply chains. Our UK team leads on Engage50 (supplier engagement for enterprises) and Product50 (efficient PCF/carbon footprint calculation at scale). These tools feed into Account50 and Act50, powering a full-stack sustainability platform used by enterprises and SMEs across the GPT/ACT ecosystem. Green Project is looking for a Tech Lead (Senior Software Engineer) to lead a small, highâimpact engineering team building features that power Engage50 and Product50 â the products helping enterprises measure and reduce their carbon footprint. You'll set the technical direction, mentor others, and use AIâassisted development to multiply the team's speed and impact. This is a handsâon leadership role with real product ownership and a clear mission: accelerate the world's transition to netâzero.
Responsibilities
- Lead a small, fastâmoving team building features across Engage50 and Product50.
- Set technical direction, uphold engineering standards, and ensure highâquality delivery.
- Balance handsâon coding with mentoring, design reviews, and coordination across product and design.
- Work closely with leadership to translate business goals into technical roadmaps.
- Drive adoption of AIâassisted development to boost productivity and creativity across the team.
- Partner daily with product managers, designers, and other engineers to turn ideas into shipped features â and help shape the technical culture of the company as we scale.
Requirements
- 5+ years of engineering experience
- Deep expertise in Go or React (and a willingness to stretch across both)
- Proven experience leading projects or small teams
- Strong technical judgment and architectural understanding
- Prior startup experience and comfort with ambiguity
- Motivation to build meaningful software for sustainability
- Experience scaling teams in a startup environment is a plus
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, deployment automation, and monitoring are a plus
- Exposure to climate, ESG, or sustainability domains is a plus
Salary Range
The base pay range for this position is ÂŁ85,000 â ÂŁ100,000 annually + discretionary bonus; however, base pay offered may vary depending on location, jobârelated knowledge, skills, and experience.
