We are excited to welcome a part-time [0.6FTE] Occupational Therapist to our Adelaide Integrated Therapy Service Team! In this rewarding role, you’ll support children and families through evidence-informed interventions, standardised and play-based assessments, and meaningful parent coaching. Your work will help children build confidence and skills in areas such as self-care, motor development, play, and emotional and sensory regulation. By delivering thoughtful, high-quality therapeutic care and forming strong, trusting partnerships with caregivers, you’ll play an important role in creating positive, lasting outcomes for children and young people impacted by trauma.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, evidence-informed occupational therapy to support children, young people and their families impacted by trauma.
  • Build strong, supportive relationships with caregivers and work collaboratively to embed therapeutic strategies across home, school and community settings.
  • Assess, plan and implement individualised interventions (including assistive technology where needed) to achieve meaningful client goals.
  • Collaborate closely with the Integrated Therapy Service team, stakeholders and community partners to drive positive therapeutic and psychosocial outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Hold a tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy, with professional OT AHPRA registration (required), and a membership with Occupational Therapy Australia (desirable).
  • Demonstrate at least two (2) years’ experience working with children, young people and their families who have been impacted by trauma or experienced abuse and neglect, or at least two (2) years’ experience working in similar roles.
  • Eligibility to work in Australia (proof of eligibility required), including holding or obtaining required checks (Working with Children Check or professional exemption, NDIS worker screening check).
