We have an exciting opportunity for a Conveyancing Assistant to join the busy team of an established law firm in Stockport. This role offers the chance to work closely with experienced Conveyancers, supporting a wide range of residential conveyancing matters from initial instruction through to completion and file closure. This is a great opportunity for someone with previous conveyancing experience who is looking to develop their career within a supportive and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day support to Fee Earners across the full range of residential conveyancing transactions, from instruction through to post-completion and file closure.
- Communicate effectively with clients, solicitors, referrers and estate agents via phone and email to help progress transactions efficiently.
- Assist with administrative and legal tasks including file opening, ordering title documents and searches, and preparing forms and documentation under the supervision of a Fee Earner.
- Maintain accurate, organised and compliant files in line with regulatory requirements and internal procedures.
About You
- Previous experience in a Conveyancing Assistant or similar role within residential conveyancing.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build professional relationships with clients, colleagues and external contacts.
- Confident using IT systems, document management systems and Microsoft Office.
- Highly organised with the ability to work accurately under pressure and manage multiple deadlines.
