Our client is a respected Cheshire law firm and we have an exciting opportunity for a Legal Secretary to become part of their busy Private Client team in Macclesfield, providing vital support to specialist fee earners across a broad range of matters including Wills, Probate, Estate Administration and Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs). This role offers genuine flexibility, with the hiring manager open to a variety of working patterns between 22 and 30 hours per week, worked within the firm’s normal office hours of 9:00am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative and secretarial skills who enjoys delivering exceptional client service while working in a fast-paced legal environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality secretarial and administrative support to Private Client fee earners.
- Act as the first point of contact for new client enquiries via telephone and the firm’s website, handling sensitive matters with professionalism and empathy.
- Manage both electronic and paper-based client files, including file opening, closing, storage and retrieval in accordance with firm procedures and compliance requirements.
- Prepare, format and amend legal documentation, correspondence, probate papers and other Private Client documents.
- Carry out audio and copy typing accurately and efficiently.
