We are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join a busy manufacturing business in Wellingborough. This is a varied, hands-on role supporting the day-to-day finance function. This position offers flexible working hours to suit both the business and the successful candidate, along with the opportunity to secure a permanent role after a successful 12-week period.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing and importing supplier invoices, including printing and matching documentation
- Inputting and maintaining the purchase ledger accurately
- Sending customer invoices and supporting sales ledger activities
- Inputting order acknowledgements onto enquiries and orders
- Monitoring and managing the accounts inbox, responding to queries where required
- Printing and distributing timesheets and driver sheets
- Maintaining and organising purchase ledger files and folders
- Handling petty cash transactions and maintaining accurate records
Key Requirements
- Previous experience in a finance or accounts role is desirable
- Good attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Experience with Sage is beneficial but not essential, as training can be provided
- A proactive and flexible approach to work
