A well-established and innovative manufacturing business within the exhibition and events industry is looking for a skilled CNC Operator / Technician to join their production team. The company designs and builds high-quality exhibition stands and branded environments for clients across the UK and internationally. This is a great opportunity to be part of a hands-on production team where precision, quality, and attention to detail are key. You will be responsible for operating CNC machinery to produce accurately engineered components that contribute directly to live exhibition builds and installations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC machinery to manufacture components to specification
- Select and prepare materials for machining processes
- Produce accurate components in line with technical drawings and production requirements
- Carry out quality checks to ensure work meets required standards and tolerances
- Perform basic machine maintenance and routine equipment checks
- Work closely with design and production teams to support project delivery
- Manage workload effectively to meet tight production deadlines
- Maintain accurate records and production documentation
- Identify and report any issues, supporting continuous improvement
- Follow all health & safety procedures and workshop standards at all times
Candidate Requirements:
- Previous experience operating CNC machinery
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
- Good basic Maths and English skills
- Reliable, proactive, and team-focused approach
Desirable (not essential):
- CAD/CAM experience
- Previous experience in manufacturing, fabrication, or similar production environments
