Job Description
We are recruiting for a Batcher to join the production team of an established and growing specialist manufacturer based in Wellingborough.
This is an important role within the manufacturing operation, ensuring materials and customer orders are accurately prepared and prioritised for production.
You'll need to be highly organised, comfortable working to deadlines and have excellent attention to detail.
THE ROLE
As a Batcher, you will be responsible for preparing and coordinating production batches to ensure the manufacturing process runs efficiently.
Key responsibilities include
- Preparing and batching glass orders ready for production.
- Checking job details, specifications, sizes and quantities for accuracy.
- Ensuring the correct materials and components are allocated to each order.
- Prioritising work according to production requirements and customer deadlines.
- Checking paperwork and system information.
- Identifying shortages, discrepancies or missing information before production.
- Liaising with production, sales, warehouse and despatch teams to resolve issues.
- Ensuring batches are correctly labelled and clearly identified.
- Updating internal systems and maintaining accurate records.
- Supporting stock accuracy and reporting discrepancies.
- Helping production meet daily targets and customer delivery requirements.
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.
- Following company quality and Health & Safety procedures.
ABOUT YOU
We're looking for someone who is methodical, organised and exceptionally detail-focused.
Ideally, you'll have experience within glass, glazing, fenestration, manufacturing, production or a similar environment.
However, candidates with relevant warehouse or production experience who demonstrate the right aptitude will also be considered.
