This role is ideal for someone with strong warehouse and logistics experience who enjoys leading teams, improving processes, and driving operational performance within a busy environment.
Working closely with the Warehouse Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of warehouse operations, supporting service delivery targets while maintaining high standards of safety, accuracy, and efficiency.
The Role
As Warehouse Supervisor, you will support and lead warehouse operations across goods in, goods out, inventory control, storage, and order fulfilment activities. You will help co-ordinate workflow, allocate resources effectively, and ensure customer delivery expectations and operational KPIs are consistently achieved. In the absence of the Warehouse Manager, you will take responsibility for the department, leading daily briefings, communicating priorities, and ensuring operational continuity.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supervising day-to-day warehouse operations
- Supporting workflow planning and resource allocation
- Monitoring operational KPIs including order accuracy and inventory performance
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and company procedures
- Supporting warehouse administration and reporting activities
- Leading, motivating, and developing warehouse staff
- Coordinating staff training and monitoring team performance
- Responding to customer queries via telephone and email
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across warehouse processes and layout
- Developing proficiency in warehouse and operational systems including ERP/WMS platforms
About You
The successful candidate will have previous warehouse or logistics supervisory experience and a strong ability to lead teams within a fast-moving operational environment. You will also have:
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Good IT literacy including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Experience working towards operational KPIs and service targets
- High attention to detail and commitment to safety and accuracy
- The ability to motivate and support warehouse teams effectively
- A proactive and hands-on approach to problem solving
Experience with ERP or warehouse management systems such as NetSuite or ServiceNow would be advantageous but is not essential. Forklift certification would also be beneficial, although training can be provided. Due to the physical nature of the role, candidates should be comfortable with manual handling and lifting activities where required.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable and forward-thinking business offering long-term development and career progression within a collaborative environment. Due to the location of the warehouse, you will need to be a car driver with access to your own transport.
