Warehouse/Contracts Supervisor Bedford Hours: 2:30pm-11pm Monday to Friday Salary: £31,345 – £33,592 DOE An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Contract Supervisor to lead a warehouse team and deliver outstanding operational services to our client’s customers. This role requires a dynamic individual who can manage daily warehouse activities while maintaining high standards of performance and safety. Duties Act as the senior staff member on the shop floor, understanding customer requirements and driving business improvements. Assist managers and supervisors in their roles and help train, develop, and motivate staff. Ensure all staff operate within current legislation and maintain a safe working environment. Produce regular reports and statistics on operational performance. Collaborate with Contract Managers to ensure health and safety management best practices are applied. Monitor and manage staff productivity, accuracy, and performance, taking action as required. Support stock management and ensure that operational activities, including intake, picking, packing, and dispatch, are conducted accurately and timely. Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to enhance operational efficiency. Support personal development across contracts within the framework of job descriptions and competency skills matrix. Cover for the Contract Manager during specified periods, including holidays and sickness. Ensure compliance with ISO accredited standards and environmental policies.The Candidate Experienced in Warehouse Management Systems and warehouse operations. Significant people management experience, ideally at a supervisor level within a supply chain environment. Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team. Excellent communication skills at all levels. High attention to detail and a commitment to improving service quality. Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and work under pressure. A positive attitude towards customer service and a commitment to safety. ILM Level 2 in Leadership and Management (or equivalent), or willing to study for this qualification – desirable. Full clean driving licence. MHE certifications (Desirable): Pivot Steer, Counterbalance, PPT
