We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Upholsterer to join our client’s team. The ideal candidate will have experience in upholstering chairs, panels, and other office furnishings, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet both aesthetic and functional standards. Key Responsibilities- Gluing materials securely.
- Using staple guns to attach fabric and padding.
- Stretching fabric to ensure a smooth and professional finish.
- Measuring and cutting fabric accurately to fit furniture specifications.
- Inserting and positioning padding for comfort and durability.
- Applying webbing to support furniture structure.
- Stripping and re-upholstering existing furniture, replacing materials as needed.
- Inspecting completed work to ensure quality and durability.
- Operating industrial sewing machines and other upholstery tools safely.
- Previous experience in upholstery.
- Strong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Ability to measure, cut, and sew fabric accurately.
- Experience with industrial upholstery tools and machinery.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work with precision.
- Knowledge of different types of upholstery fabrics and materials.
- Experience with patternmaking and fabric layout.
