We have partnered with a long standing, reputable business in the building sector, who are looking for an experienced account manager to join their team. Based in Northamptonshire, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining excellent relationships with both customers and suppliers, as well as contributing to their pipeline of prospective customers.
Key Duties:
- Building strong relationships, both internal and external to identify and develop new, lapsed, or dormant business opportunities.
- Acting as a main point of contact both internally and externally for any product related queries.
- Managing the supply and demand of products.
- Create and build a pipeline of prospective business.
- Develop trusting relationships both internally and externally in order to provide exceptional customer service to maintain repeat trade.
- Maximising all customer interactions by upselling and cross selling relevant products.
- Realising full potential of all customer interactions and build strong, effective relationships with customers and suppliers.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Proven experience in sales and account management.
- Ability to develop and maintain excellent relationships with customers and suppliers.
- Proactive with the motivation to secure and increase sales orders through existing and new business.
- Organise and manage workload well – dealing well under pressure.
- Strong commercial and financial understanding.
- Experience in a merchants, build or timber is essential.
- A full driving licence is preferred.
