Contract: Permanent | Part-Time

Hours: Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday. 09:30 - 16:00 (30-minute lunch break) 18 hours per week

Overview

We are working with a well-established, international organisation with a UK head office based in Milton Keynes, who are seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join their HR team on a part-time, fixed-term basis. This is a generalist HR role supporting managers across multiple UK locations. While the role is primarily based in Milton Keynes with hybrid working available, there will be occasional travel to other offices, including Corby and London.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line HR advice and guidance to line managers in line with company policy
  • Support managers with:
  • Performance management
  • Disciplinary and grievance matters
  • Sickness absence management
  • Reward, benefits, and terms & conditions
  • Manage a range of HR and ER issues from start to finish
  • Identify opportunities to improve performance, engagement, absence levels, and retention
  • Support the HR Admin team during peak periods, including payroll cut-off when required
  • Review and improve HR processes, documentation, and standard letters
  • Contribute to HR projects aimed at improving policies, processes, and best practice
  • Ensure advice is underpinned by up-to-date employment legislation
  • The Ideal Candidate

    • Proven experience in a generalist HR Advisor role
    • Strong track record of managing HR and ER cases end to end
    • Confident supporting and advising line managers
    • Commercially aware with a pragmatic, solutions-focused approach
    • Calm, diplomatic, and professional with excellent communication skills
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
    • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative HR team
