We’re looking for a Technologist to join a leading Safety Product Testing team in Kettering, where you’ll play a key role in making sure motorcycle clothing and protective gear (PPE) meet international safety standards.
What you’ll be doing
Testing motorcycle jackets, trousers, race suits, gloves, and protectors to ensure they perform when it matters most
Operating specialist test equipment and recording results accurately
Writing clear reports to support customer product development and certification
Working directly with global customers – answering questions, guiding them through testing, and building strong relationships
Getting involved in wider PPE testing (helmets, gloves, eyewear, high-vis clothing, and more) as you develop
Representing the team at webinars, customer visits, trade shows, and industry eventsWhat we’re looking for You don’t need to be a motorcycle expert (though that helps!) – the company will provide full training. What matters most is:
Great attention to detail and accuracy
A logical, methodical approach to work
Confidence working independently and as part of a team
Strong communication and organisational skills
Good IT skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)Bonus points if you have: experience in a lab, knowledge of clothing materials, or familiarity with databases/quality management systems.
