We’re looking for a practical, curious and people-focused individual to join our clients growing team as a Field Engineer. Although advantageous, you don’t need previous engineering experience – what matters most is having the right attitude, enjoying solving problems and being confident speaking with customers with a technical aptitude.
You will receive full on the job training, and the technical support you need to become a highly skilled Field Engineer, with a knowledgeable team behind you every step of the way. Due to driving a company van - a full driving licence is required. Also, occasional overnight stays may be required.
What will you be doing?
- Every day will be a little different, with a mix of hands-on engineering, problem-solving and customer interaction.
- Visit customers on-site and build great working relationships.
- Listen carefully to customers, understand what’s going wrong and work out the best solution.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with garage equipment.
- Carry out routine servicing, inspections and preventative maintenance.
- Show customers how to use their equipment safely and effectively – full training will be provided.
- Keep clear and accurate records of visits, repairs and maintenance.
- Work closely with the wider technical team, sharing feedback and ideas to improve products and service.
- Always put safety first and follow the required health & safety procedures when working on customer sites.
What are we looking for?
- Automotive, engineering or technical experience is highly advantageous.
- A confident and friendly communicator who enjoys dealing with people.
- Naturally curious and keen to understand how things work with a technical aptitude.
- A pro-active and practical thinker who enjoys getting to the bottom of problems.
- Comfortable working independently and managing your own diary.
- Organised, reliable and able to stay calm when faced with a challenge.

- Driving licence, aged 21 and over for insurance purposes.
No previous field engineering experience? No problem. You’ll receive full training and ongoing support from an experienced technical team, giving you the opportunity to develop the skills and knowledge needed to become a first-rate Field Engineer. The role is primarily field-based, so occasional overnight stays may be required depending on customer requirements.
