Residential Conveyancer – Harrow
Location: Harrow, London
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Job Type: Full-time | Permanent
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:15pm
The Opportunity
I’m currently recruiting for an experienced Residential Conveyancer to join a well-established, Lexcel and CQS-accredited law firm at its Harrow office.
This is an excellent opportunity to join an established firm with a national residential property team, managing your own caseload and delivering a high standard of client service from initial instruction through to post-completion.
About You
The ideal candidate will:
- Be a qualified Solicitor, Chartered Legal Executive (CILEX) or Licensed Conveyancer (CLC).
- Ideally have 5+ years’ post-qualification experience (PQE) in residential conveyancing.
- Have extensive experience handling residential sales, purchases and remortgages.
- Be confident managing a varied caseload independently and able to hit the ground running.
- Have experience with shared ownership, lease variations, new-build purchases and Help to Buy matters.
- Possess excellent organisational, communication and client relationship management skills.
- Have a good understanding of the local property market and an interest in developing client relationships in the Harrow area.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage residential conveyancing transactions from initial instruction through to post-completion.
- Handle freehold and leasehold sales and purchases.
- Manage remortgages and equity release transactions.
- Investigate and review property titles.
- Deal with transfers of equity, including matrimonial transfers.
- Provide support and training to conveyancing assistants.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships and local professional contacts.
- Identify opportunities for cross-referrals to other departments.
- Provide cover for other offices when required.
- Maintain high professional standards and comply with firm policies and procedures.
