We are currently recruiting for a Quality Engineering Assistant to support a busy Quality Engineering function within a precision manufacturing environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong quality, engineering, or manufacturing background to develop their career within a highly regulated and standards-driven industry. You will work closely with an experienced Quality Engineer, supporting quality systems, audit activities, compliance requirements, and continuous improvement initiatives across production and customer-facing processes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the maintenance and development of the Quality Management System (QMS)
- Assist with internal and external audits (ISO 9001 / AS9100 / automotive standards)
- Maintain accurate quality records, documentation, and compliance data
- Support investigation of non-conformances and assist with root cause analysis
- Contribute to corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
- Assist with customer quality queries and preparation of reports
- Support supplier quality communication where required
- Help monitor product quality throughout production processes
- Assist in quality performance reporting and KPI tracking
- Support adherence to health and safety standards
