We are recruiting for a Project Administrator with CAD experience to join an established business operating within the warehouse storage and industrial construction sector. The company provides tailored solutions to commercial and industrial clients across the UK, specialising in areas such as warehouse racking, storage systems, installations and mezzanine flooring.
This is a varied role combining project administration, co-ordination and CAD, making it ideal for someone who enjoys working across both the administrative and technical sides of projects.
The Role
Working closely with the Project Management and Design teams, you will provide administrative and coordination support throughout the project lifecycle. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing day-to-day administrative support to Project Managers.
- Co-ordinating meetings, schedules and project activities.
- Maintaining accurate project documentation, including contracts, drawings, design files and correspondence.
- Assisting with project schedules, budgets and progress tracking.
- Using CAD software to create, amend and review technical drawings and designs.
- Working alongside engineers and designers to ensure project specifications are met.
- Maintaining organised project files, databases and documentation.
- Coordinating communication between clients, contractors, engineers and internal teams.
- Assisting with project reports, presentations and progress updates.
- Supporting the wider project team with general administration and coordination as required.
About You
We are looking for someone who is organised, technically minded and confident working with CAD. You will ideally have:
- Previous experience using CAD software, such as AutoCAD or similar.
- Experience in project administration, technical administration, engineering administration or a related environment is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Confidence communicating with different stakeholders, including clients, contractors and internal teams.
- Good IT skills and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
- A practical and collaborative approach to problem solving.
A background in construction, engineering, architecture, manufacturing, warehouse design or a related technical environment would be beneficial.
