A rapidly growing global business is looking for an experienced Warehouse Manager to take ownership of its UK warehouse operation in Northampton.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on, commercially minded leader who can build and galvanise a team, drive operational performance and take full ownership of the site’s day-to-day operation and P&L.
What’s Involved?
- Full day-to-day management of the UK warehouse operation
- Leading and developing a team of 13–20 employees
- Building a strong, motivated and high-performing team
- Taking ownership of site P&L, budgets and cost control
- Managing facilities and ensuring the warehouse operates safely and efficiently
- Driving KPIs, SLAs and operational performance
- Managing goods-in, storage, picking, packing and dispatch
- Planning resources around changing volumes and business demands
- Working closely with internal teams to ensure customer and commercial requirements are met
- Identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities
- Managing suppliers, consumables and operational costs
- Using data to identify issues, improve performance and make informed decisions
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience managing a warehouse or distribution operation
- Experience leading teams of 13+ people
- Strong P&L and budget ownership experience
- Excellent people-management and leadership skills
- A hands-on management style with the ability to motivate and galvanise a team
- Strong technical knowledge of WMS systems
- Experience working with bespoke or complex warehouse management systems would be highly advantageous
- Strong understanding of warehouse processes, KPIs and operational excellence
- A commercially focused approach to cost control and efficiency
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- The confidence to work in a fast-paced, growing environment
The Hours & Package
- Salary - £45,000 – £50,000
- Hours - Monday–Friday - 8:00am–4:00pm or 9:00am–5:00pm
- Some flexibility required to take calls supporting US operations
- Full P&L ownership
- Facilities & warehouse management responsibility
