We are currently recruiting for a Temporary Administrator to join a professional and friendly team based in Northampton.


This is a great opportunity for an organised and detail-focused individual who enjoys working in a varied administrative role.


The position will involve general administration alongside some payroll-related administrative duties, so previous payroll experience would be advantageous but is not essential.


The Role


Working as part of the team, you will provide general administrative support and assist with payroll-related administration, helping to ensure information is accurate, up to date and processed within deadlines.



  • Providing general administrative support to the team

  • Assisting with payroll-related administration, including providing and checking relevant information

  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation

  • Completing data entry and updating information as required

  • Preparing and maintaining documents and records

  • Checking information for accuracy and ensuring any discrepancies are highlighted

  • Supporting the wider team with day-to-day administrative tasks

  • Responding to queries professionally and efficiently

  • Working to deadlines and prioritising tasks effectively

  • Using Microsoft Excel and other computer systems as required

  • Maintaining confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information

  • Following company procedures and maintaining professional standards


About You


We are looking for someone who is:



  • Experienced in administration or a similar office-based role

  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail

  • A confident computer user with good IT skills

  • Confident using Microsoft Excel – previous Excel experience is preferred

  • Previous payroll or payroll administration experience would be advantageous

  • Comfortable working to deadlines and managing multiple tasks

  • A confident and clear communicator, both written and verbal
  • Professional, approachable and friendly

  • Able to build positive and respectful working relationships

  • Reliable and willing to support the wider team

  • Able to follow instructions and produce accurate, high-quality work

  • Comfortable handling confidential information
