Warehouse Team Leader £17.50 per hour NN7, Northampton Rotational shifts between 07:00am–22:00pm Any 5 days out of 6 Sunday – Friday Temporary with potential to be made Permanent after 12 successful weeks Start Date: ASAP We are currently recruiting for an experienced Warehouse Team Leader to join a busy and fast-paced operation in Northampton. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day warehouse operations, leading a team of warehouse operatives and ensuring orders are processed accurately and efficiently. Key Responsibilities Lead, motivate and support warehouse operatives to achieve daily KPIs and operational targets. Supervise day-to-day warehouse activities within your allocated department. Allocate and prioritise workloads to ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and on time. Promote and maintain high Health & Safety standards across the warehouse. Ensure all processes are followed in line with company SOPs. Use Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and PDA/scanner devices to monitor stock and maintain accuracy. Ensure warehouse equipment is used safely and correctly. Monitor team performance and identify opportunities for improvement. Support continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S and Lean/Six Sigma principles. Work closely with other departments to resolve operational issues and improve processes. Lead by example and actively participate in warehouse duties when required. Maintain a clean, organised and efficient working environment. Skills & Experience Minimum 2 years' warehouse experience in a fast-paced environment. Experience within a supervisory or Team Leader experience. Experience using a Warehouse Management System (WMS). Experience using PDA/scanner devices. Strong leadership and communication skills. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
