We are delighted to be recruiting for a Lecturer in Plumbing & Heating on behalf of a well-established education and training provider in Northamptonshire. This is an excellent opportunity for either an experienced lecturer or someone currently working within the Plumbing & Heating industry who is looking to move into teaching and training.
One of the biggest attractions of this role is that the employer is very open to speaking with industry professionals who may not yet hold a teaching qualification but are willing to work towards one. If you have strong hands-on industry experience and want to pass your knowledge on to the next generation, full support will be provided.
This position sits within a growing Construction department with excellent training facilities and resources designed to replicate real industrial environments and standards.
Working Hours: 37 hours per week. Occasional evening and weekend working may be required to support business needs and open events.
Key Responsibilities- Teaching Plumbing & Heating courses across Levels 1–3
- Acting as course tutor for full-time and part-time learners
- Supporting student progress, attendance and achievement
- Delivering engaging practical demonstrations and workshop activities
- Supporting curriculum development in line with changing industry requirements
- Participating in student recruitment events, open days and careers events
- Supporting internal quality assurance and verification processes
- Promoting safeguarding, health & safety and positive student conduct at all times
- Strong hands-on industry experience within Plumbing & Heating
- Level 3 qualification or above within a relevant discipline
- Passionate about developing and motivating learners
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Organised with the ability to manage workload effectively
- Teaching qualification desirable; however, candidates from industry who are willing to work towards a teaching qualification are very strongly encouraged to apply
