Overview
Our client is an established and growing independent accountancy practice based in Milton Keynes, specialising in accountancy, taxation, and business advisory services for small and medium-sized businesses. Due to continued organic growth, they are now seeking a Semi Senior Accountant to join their expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone already working within a UK practice who is looking to further develop their technical skills in a supportive, flexible environment with genuine long-term progression.
Key Responsibilities
- Acting as a key point of contact for a varied portfolio of clients
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships through exceptional service
- Preparing Statutory Accounts
- Preparing Corporation Tax Returns
- Preparing Self-Assessment Tax Returns and P11Ds
- Preparing Real Time Capital Gains Tax reports
- Preparing monthly and quarterly management accounts
- Attending and participating in regular client meetings
- Managing multiple assignments and ensuring all deadlines are met
The Ideal Candidate
- AAT qualified and actively studying towards ACCA or ACA
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience within a UK accountancy practice
- Strong experience using Xero or other cloud-based accounting software
- Highly organised, proactive and detail-driven
- Able to work quickly and accurately under pressure
- Confident managing a varied client portfolio
Desirable
- Experience using IRIS software
- Exposure to advisory-focused client work
