Job Description

Office Manager

£16.48 per hour

Monday-Friday (9AM-4PM – 35 hours per week)

Temporary ongoing with the potential to become permanent after 12 successful weeks

Our client in the Market Harborough area is looking for an Office Manager who will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the Depot office, providing effective administrative support and accurate financial information to assist the Depot Manager in achieving commercial and operational objectives. The role will oversee office processes, maintain strong financial controls, and support the smooth running of day-to-day depot activities.

Key Responsibilities;

  • Manage the day-to-day running of the depot office, ensuring all administrative processes are completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Provide financial reports, analysis, and information to support the Depot Manager with business decisions, budgeting, and performance monitoring.
  • Maintain accurate financial records, including customer accounts, supplier accounts, stock information, expenses, and general office documentation.
  • Monitor financial performance, identify discrepancies or trends, and highlight areas requiring attention.
  • Oversee office systems and procedures, ensuring records are maintained and opportunities for improvement are identified.
  • Lead, train, and support the administration team, ensuring effective cover and a high standard of service.
  • Coordinate general office operations, including banking, petty cash, purchasing, transport administration, and payroll-related updates.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and health and safety requirements, supporting risk assessments where required.
  • Maintain clear communication with the Depot Manager and wider management team, providing relevant updates and information.
  • Promote a professional, organised, and efficient working environment while supporting continuous improvement across the depot.
