The Role
We\’re recruiting a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a leading regulated manufacturing business. You\’ll be a key part of the engineering team, keeping high-speed production equipment running safely, efficiently, and reliably. This is a hands‑on, technically varied role working with modern machinery in a fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance (electrical & mechanical)
- Rapid breakdown response with strong fault‑finding and root cause analysis
- Maintenance of PLC‑controlled, high‑speed production and packaging equipment
- Work on industrial ovens/microwaves, HV transformers, slicers, sealers, metal detectors, and refrigeration
- Equipment optimisation, start‑ups, and performance monitoring
- CMMS updates, shift handovers, and accurate reporting
- Support apprentices and junior engineers
- Maintain strict Health & Safety and food safety compliance
What We’re Looking For
- Time-served Maintenance Engineer (Electrical or Mechanical)
- Minimum 3 years’ post‑apprenticeship experience
- Strong multi‑skilled background
- Experience in a regulated or high‑speed manufacturing environment
- Confident with PLCs, automation, pneumatics, and hydraulics
- Strong H&S and quality awareness
Desirable
- High‑voltage systems
- Industrial ovens or microwave technology
