We are seeking a confident and organised Logistics Account Administrator to join a busy and fast-paced logistics team based in Biggleswade. This is a highly active role where you’ll be responsible for managing 6–10 client accounts, each involving regular communication with approximately 15 key contacts. The position demands a high level of attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the confidence to manage a high volume of email and phone interactions. You will be booking goods onto lorries, coordinating deliveries, and ensuring all logistical processes run smoothly. Assertiveness, professionalism, and the ability to stay calm under pressure are key.
Key Duties
- Manage day-to-day logistics operations for a portfolio of 6–10 client accounts.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with approximately 15 contacts per account.
- Handle a high volume of email and phone correspondence, dealing with delivery updates, shipment queries, and service issues.
- Coordinate and book deliveries, ensuring goods are scheduled accurately for collection or dispatch via road freight.
- Prior experience booking goods onto lorries or liaising with hauliers is essential.
- Proactively resolve delivery issues, delays, and customer concerns, escalating when necessary.
- Accurately log and track orders using internal systems and maintain clear shipment records.
- Coordinate shipping documentation for both inbound and outbound movements.
- Work closely with internal teams and UK-based showrooms to ensure client expectations are met.
- Deliver outstanding customer service through clear communication, reliability, and quick issue resolution.
