Our client is a well-established and growing UK manufacturing business designing custom control systems for lifting and access solutions, specialising in the design and build of bespoke electrical control systems. Serving a diverse range of industries, they are recognised for delivering high-quality engineered solutions and are now seeking an experienced Lead Electrical Engineer to strengthen their leadership team. This is a hands-on leadership position that combines technical design expertise with team management responsibilities.
The successful candidate will lead a small engineering team, ensuring high-quality, compliant electrical designs are delivered efficiently while remaining actively involved in control panel design throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee the production of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and cable schedules.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the engineering team, providing technical guidance and support.
- Take ownership of electrical control panel design from customer specification through to production release.
- Drive best practices in design, documentation, and engineering processes.
- Apply safety engineering principles, including functional safety, within automated systems.
