An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and technically minded individual to join a highly respected organisation within the product testing and certification sector as a Footwear Technologist. This role offers the chance to work within a specialist technical environment, supporting customers, conducting product testing, delivering training and presentations, and contributing to innovative projects within the footwear industry. As a Footwear Technologist, you will play a key role in supporting customers and ensuring products meet required legislation and quality standards. Responsibilities will include:
- Conducting and supporting physical testing activities
- Discussing test results and technical information with customers
- Drafting reports and responding to technical enquiries
- Delivering seminars, webinars, and training sessions
- Supporting technicians within the department
- Assisting with customer visits and promoting technical services
- Contributing to technical articles and internal/external publications
- Working in line with quality systems and health & safety procedures

Essential Skills & Experience:
- Familiarity with physical testing techniques

- Good IT skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Excellent communication skills
- Willingness to travel when required
Desirable:
- Footwear industry experience
- Degree in Maths, Science, or related subject
- SAFT qualification (or working towards)
- Experience within commercial or business development environments
- Full UK driving licence
