Warehouse Operative in Islip

Warehouse Operative / Flatpack Assembly Operative Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week Working Hours: Flexible start times – for example, 7:00am–3:00pm or 8:00am–4:00pm The Role We are looking for reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operatives to join our team. This is a varied role that would suit someone who enjoys practical, hands-on work and is comfortable working as part of a busy warehouse environment. We also have an opportunity for someone with flatpack assembly experience or a strong practical ability to take on additional responsibilities building and assembling flatpack products. Key Responsibilities Picking and packing goods accurately and efficiently Loading and unloading deliveries Moving stock around the warehouse safely Preparing orders for dispatch Checking goods and maintaining accurate stock Keeping the warehouse clean, tidy and organised Following health and safety procedures at all times Working as part of a team to meet daily targets Assisting with general warehouse duties as required Building and assembling flatpack furniture/products where required Using basic hand tools to assemble flatpack items Checking completed assemblies to ensure they are finished to the required standardAbout You We are looking for someone who is: Reliable, punctual and hardworking Physically fit and comfortable with a hands-on role Able to work well as part of a team Organised and able to follow instructions Keen to learn new skills Ideally experienced within a warehouse environmentFlatpack assembly experience would be advantageous, although candidates with good practical skills and experience using basic hand tools will also be considered
