ACS Staffing Solutions are delighted to be recruiting for an experienced Installation / Service Manager on behalf of our client based in Milton Keynes. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on operational manager with strong people management and project coordination experience to join a growing and fast-paced business.
The successful candidate will take full responsibility for the management of installation, service and maintenance operations, overseeing a small team alongside subcontractors across the UK. This role would suit an organised and commercially aware individual who is comfortable balancing operational delivery, customer management and team leadership.
A full UK driving licence is essential for this position.
Key Responsibilities- Develop strategies to support the growth of profitable service, maintenance and installation operations
- Work closely with the sales function to help drive service and maintenance contract opportunities
- Build and manage a UK-wide subcontractor network to support installations and service contracts
- Take full ownership of projects from receipt of order through to client sign-off
- Manage and support a team of engineers and subcontractors
- Lead and support onsite installation activities where required
- Conduct site surveys and assist with installation specifications
- Coordinate rollout programmes and oversee project delivery
- Liaise directly with customers, site contacts and internal stakeholders
- Attend pre-installation meetings for larger-scale projects
- Negotiate pricing with subcontractors and suppliers
- Ensure compliance with onsite health & safety requirements
- Produce monthly reporting relating to costs, delivery performance and operational metrics
- Develop and manage call-out procedures for service contracts
- Previous experience within a similar Installation, Service or Contracts Management role
- Strong people management experience, ideally managing both direct teams and subcontractors
- Hands-on approach with the ability to support installations when required
- Experience managing service and maintenance agreements
- Strong project management capability
- Confident communicator with excellent organisational skills
- Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced environment
- Commercial awareness with strong negotiation skills
- Experience liaising directly with customers and site contacts
- Knowledge of onsite health & safety regulations
- Ability to read and interpret site drawings
- Strong Microsoft Office and Excel skills
- Full UK driving licence essential
- CITB certification
- Experience working within construction, infrastructure, engineering or airport environments
- Experience developing subcontractor networks across multiple regions
