We're looking for a hands-on Warehouse Supervisor to join a growing and successful business in St Ives. Working closely with the Warehouse & Logistics Manager, you'll play a key role in overseeing daily warehouse operations, supporting team performance and driving operational excellence across goods-in, picking, packing and dispatch functions.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with supervisory experience who enjoys motivating teams, solving problems and making a real impact on warehouse performance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and supporting warehouse teams across goods-in, picking, packing and dispatch
- Allocating workloads and monitoring team performance
- Coaching, training and developing warehouse operatives
- Ensuring incoming goods are received, checked and stored correctly
- Overseeing accurate order picking and packing processes
- Supporting inventory control, stock accuracy and stock takes
- Monitoring quality standards and investigating discrepancies
- Maintaining a safe working environment and promoting best practice
- Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and productivity
- Reporting on operational performance and KPIs
About You
To be successful in this role, you'll ideally have:
- Previous warehouse supervisory or team leader experience
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations including goods-in, picking, packing and dispatch
- Excellent leadership and people management skills
- Strong organisational and prioritisation abilities
- A proactive, hands-on approach to problem solving
- Good IT skills and experience using warehouse systems
- Excellent communication skills
- A commitment to health and safety standards
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Desirable qualifications include:
- Counterbalance Forklift Licence
- Warehouse Operations qualification
- Health & Safety qualification
- First Aid certification
