We are looking for an experienced Fire Safety Delivery Manager to take responsibility for the successful delivery of fire safety programmes across a residential property portfolio. This role is ideal for a fire safety professional who enjoys managing projects, working with contractors and stakeholders, and ensuring that fire safety standards are consistently maintained. You will play an important role in identifying risks, overseeing remedial works and ensuring statutory requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the planning and implementation of fire safety projects, ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently, within budget and to agreed timescales.
  • Support the organisation in meeting its statutory fire safety and landlord compliance responsibilities.
  • Oversee contractors and service providers, monitoring performance against agreed standards, KPIs and contractual requirements.
  • Manage fire safety contracts, programmes and remedial works, taking action to address delays, defects and emerging risks.
  • Review and audit Fire Risk Assessments (FRAs), ensuring recommendations are appropriately prioritised and corrective actions are tracked through to completion.
  • Ensure projects and activities comply with relevant fire safety legislation, building safety requirements and CDM regulations.
  • Prepare clear project reports, compliance information, governance documents and submissions for relevant stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
  • Maintain reliable records and compliance information, supporting audits, inspections and internal assurance activity.
  • Develop positive working relationships with residents, contractors, consultants, regulators and colleagues across the organisation.
  • Contribute to out-of-hours escalation arrangements when required.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider Building Safety function to support effective risk management and continuous improvement.

About You:

  • You will have a strong background in fire safety and compliance, with practical experience of delivering projects and auditing Fire Risk Assessments.
  • You will be confident managing contractors, interpreting legislation and communicating technical information to a range of audiences.
  • Significant experience working within fire safety compliance, including FRA auditing and quality assurance.
  • Strong knowledge of current fire safety legislation, regulations, guidance and industry standards.
  • Previous experience delivering fire safety projects, programmes and contracts.
  • An understanding of broader landlord compliance requirements within a housing or property environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Excellent planning, organisation and analytical abilities.
  • A methodical approach with strong attention to detail and a focus on achieving high-quality outcomes.
  • The ability to identify issues, assess risk and develop practical solutions.

Qualifications & Professional Experience:

  • A degree or equivalent qualification in Construction, Building Services or a related discipline.
  • Level 4 Fire Safety qualification or an equivalent recognised qualification.
  • Relevant professional fire safety accreditation or qualification, or demonstrable commitment to working towards one.
  • Experience working within housing, property, construction or a comparable regulated environment would be advantageous.
