Are you a qualified finance professional looking for a role where you can make a real difference? We're recruiting for a Finance Manager to join a growing, purpose-led organisation based in Cambridge. As Finance Manager, you'll take ownership of the month-end process, management accounts, budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and financial reporting, while supporting wider business operations and leading a junior finance team member.

Key Responsibilities of the Finance Manager

  • Prepare monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Lead month-end journals and reporting processes
  • Manage cash flow forecasting and reporting
  • Oversee intercompany invoicing and reconciliations
  • Support annual budgets, long-term financial planning, and audits
  • Review payroll reports, pension submissions, and financial allocations
  • Track project income and expenditure across grants and contracts
  • Support senior leadership with board reporting and financial analysis
  • Line manage and develop an Accounts Assistant

About You

We're looking for someone who is hands-on, commercially minded, and ready to take ownership. You’ll ideally have:

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification (AAT Level 4 considered with strong experience)
  • At least 3 years post-qualified experience
  • Strong management accounts and month-end experience
  • Budgeting and cash flow forecasting knowledge
  • Excellent organisational and analytical skills
  • Leadership or mentoring experience
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach
