Environmental Site Auditor
Various Locations – Thames Valley (Hybrid)

As an Environmental Site Auditor, you\’ll play a key role in ensuring environmental compliance, supporting operational teams, and driving improvement across vital infrastructure sites.

What you\’ll be doing
- Conduct site environmental and permit compliance audits across a range of operational assets, including treatment works, pumping stations, and waste facilities.
- Support operational teams by providing training and guidance on Environmental Management System (EMS) requirements.
- Prepare and deliver clear, concise audit reports and action plans for operational managers.
- Highlight non-compliances and work collaboratively to ensure timely resolution.
- Track and report on audit progress, risks, and key findings within your region.
- Assist teams with preparation for external and regulatory audits.
What we\’re looking for
Essential:
- Strong understanding of environmental legislation and permit compliance.
- Knowledge of wastewater pumping and treatment processes.
- Confident IT skills, particularly Microsoft 365.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, including report writing.
- Awareness of Health & Safety requirements for operational sites.
Desirable:
- Experience working with front-line operational teams in utilities or environmental sectors.
- Background in ISO-accredited management systems.
- Experience engaging with regulators on operational matters.
- Familiarity with sludge treatment processes or pollution prevention control.
- Qualification in an environmental or science-related discipline.
- Auditing qualification and/or Power BI reporting skills.
